Exterior Rendering in Cork
We carry out exterior rendering in Cork, including wet dash, dry dash and other render finishes. Tell us about your walls and the finish you want, and we will discuss preparation, access and the scope of the work.
What does exterior rendering involve?
Rendering finishes the outside face of a wall. A sound specification starts with the existing construction and condition, rather than a colour chosen in isolation. New blockwork, an old coated wall and a small damaged elevation may need different preparation. Describe which elevations need attention, whether there is an existing finish and how the building is accessed. We can then discuss an assessment and the work involved.
Which finish can you ask about?
Options discussed for exterior plastering include wet dash, dry dash and proprietary render systems. A brand name alone is not a full specification. Ask for the proposed product, background preparation and final texture to be written into the quote. K Rend publishes information for several render products, which illustrates why the selected system matters. We will identify the proposed render system in your quotation.
Can existing render stay in place?
That needs an assessment of the existing surface and its attachment to the wall. Tell us about loose areas, staining, past repairs and cracks. Photographs are useful for the first conversation but cannot establish the condition of every elevation. Ask what can remain, what needs removal and how transitions between old and new work will be treated. Avoid assuming that a fresh finish will resolve an underlying defect.
What about access and the weather?
Scaffolding, access for materials and protection of neighbouring surfaces should be discussed as part of the job. Mention narrow side passages, conservatories, shared boundaries and planting close to the walls. Ask who arranges access equipment and how the proposed system will be protected during application. Scheduling should follow the product requirements and site conditions; this website does not promise an all-weather programme or a fixed drying period.
How should you agree the finished appearance?
Use a sample to discuss texture and colour before the whole elevation is finished. Look at the sample outdoors and record the chosen reference. Ask how corners, openings and the lower edge of the finish will look. At handover, request the product details and maintenance instructions. You can use our finish-selection guide and rendering checklist to organise these questions before requesting a callback for your Cork property.

Frequently asked questions
Can I enquire before I know which products are needed?
Yes. Describe the work and what you know about the existing finish. The materials and preparation should be chosen after the job is assessed, not guessed when filling in the form.
What should I have ready for the callback?
Have your nearest Cork town, a list of the surfaces involved and photographs ready. Mention occupied rooms, difficult access and other trades already booked so the scope can be discussed clearly.
Does the callback request confirm a booking or price?
No. It is an enquiry. Availability, a visit if needed, the written scope and price must be agreed separately. There is no automatic call-out charge or promised start date on this website.
